This hill station is just 298kms from Delhi which takes around 6hrs and 30mins by road. The main attraction of Nainital is ‘Naini Lake’ where you can experience boating. 4. Kanatal

5. Auli

Auli is a hill station in Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state at an altitude of 9000ft above sea level. It is around 375kms from Delhi but will take around 10hrs to reach.

You have to reach Joshimath and then take a cable car to reach Auli. You can easily experience a snow covered area all around Auli. Therefore, it is also known as the ‘skiing capital of India’.

It is the highest and the longest one not just in India but the whole of Asia and it offers magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks. Auli’s artificial lake is another attraction which is one of the world’s highest man-made lakes.

6. Dalhousie- Khajjar

Dalhousie is around 560kms from Delhi and at an altitude of 1970m above sea level. It is little far away from Delhi but a treat for nature lovers offering greenery as well as snow.

You can experience snow in the month of December, January & Feb. Main attractions around Dalhousie is Khajjiar which also known as Mini Switzerland of India. The way upto Khajjiar is all covered with snow and so is the grassland above.

You can experience paragliding in summer season at Khajjiar.  Dalhousie still has its old-world charm with its bungalows and churches from the British era and natural vistas.
